Weekend reading

This is the first weekend in quite a while that won’t involve any travelling or social engagements and I couldn’t be happier about it. I’m planning a serious session of cleaning and organising, a long overdue visit to the Β£2 bookstore and not much else. Do you have any weekend plans?

If you are looking for some interesting reading:

I love that this made the news in Australia. Also, Gary is a good name for a goat is it not?

Dali’s illustrations for Dante’s Divine Company.

Two interesting articles related to the awful Philpott case here and here.

Good news: having “extra padding” might help prevent from injury.

Find out where you fit in in the modern British class system. And then have a look at Nancy Mitford’s U and non-U English.

Being against literary fiction.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Top picture: I took this picture of a lovely little street in Woodbridge, Suffolk, last weekend.

Great photo. I love those sorts of terraces, the houses are probably quite small but they just look so cosy. The news about the goat is funny, though I’m surprised there would have to be a court case for that. Have a good weekend, sounds like a time for relaxation amongst busy weekends for you.
